1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the Camturk platform, registering an account, or using any feature of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and the official statutes and internal regulations of the Association des Étudiants Camerounais en Turquie.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent where required by applicable law.

2. Eligibility & membership

Camturk is an association of Cameroonian students in Turkey. Membership is governed by Articles 10 and 11 of the statutes. Only eligible individuals may register as active members. Camturk reserves the right to verify student status and reject or suspend applications that do not meet statutory requirements.

Creating an account does not automatically confer full membership rights until validation by the competent administrative body, when applicable.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
• Notify Camturk promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
• Not share your account with third parties.
• Use a strong password and follow reasonable security practices.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Camturk only for lawful, association-related purposes. The following are prohibited:

• Harassment, discrimination, hate speech or threats against members or staff.
• Posting false, misleading or defamatory content.
• Spam, unauthorised commercial solicitation or impersonation.
• Attempting to breach security, scrape data or disrupt the platform.
• Uploading malware, illegal content or material infringing third-party rights.
• Using the site for political campaigning unrelated to Camturk's statutory mission without authorisation.

5. User-generated content

Members may submit stories, event information, job posts (subject to approval) and profile data. You retain ownership of your content but grant Camturk a non-exclusive licence to display, store and distribute it on the platform for association purposes.

Camturk may moderate, edit or remove content that violates these Terms, the statutes, or applicable law. Official announcements published by the National Executive Committee take precedence over informal member posts.

6. Intellectual property

The Camturk name, logo, website design, and official documents (statutes, bylaws, election rules) are protected. You may not reproduce them for commercial purposes without written permission. Limited sharing for association advocacy is permitted when aligned with Camturk's mission.

7. Suspension & termination

Camturk may suspend or terminate access to the website where necessary to protect the community, enforce the statutes, or comply with law. Members may resign in accordance with Article 13 by written notice to the Secretariat General.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Information on the website (guides, FAQ, peer advice) is provided for orientation only. Camturk does not guarantee admission, visa approval, housing, scholarships or employment outcomes. Official decisions remain with universities, authorities and employers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camturk is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to associations in Turkey and the statutes of Camturk. Internal disputes between members should first be addressed through mediation procedures provided in the statutes. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Turkey may hear matters that cannot be resolved internally.

10. Changes to these Terms

Camturk may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after publication of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, unless otherwise required by law. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
