The statutes of Camturk — Association des Étudiants Camerounais en Turquie define the legal identity, social purpose, organs and operating rules of the association. They are the reference text for membership, elections and internal democracy.
Mission & objectives
Identity & seat Art. 1–3
The association is named « Association des Étudiants Camerounais en Turquie », abbreviated CAMTURK. It is a non-political civil association and a federation of Cameroonian student associations in cities across Turkey. Its statutory seat is in Ankara.

The association works to ensure cohesion, integration, well-being and the improvement of academic and living conditions for Cameroonian students, contributing to their success and a better understanding of Cameroon — internally and externally.
Membership
Categories Art. 10
Camturk has two categories of members: honorary members and active members (commonly referred to as « members »).
Conditions of admission Art. 11
Membership requires that the candidate:
- be enrolled in a higher or secondary education institution in Turkey;
- follow an academic or professional programme in Turkey for at least six (06) months;
- be regularly enrolled in a local Cameroonian student association and up to date with contributions.
Chapter affiliation Art. 12
Existing city associations must notify Camturk of their affiliation within 30 days after the constitutive General Assembly. New associations must submit their executive board list, member list and internal regulations; Camturk has 15 days to accept or reject with written reasons.
Loss of membership Art. 13
Membership may be lost through resignation, suspension (2 months to 1 year), exclusion by the General Assembly (after referral by one-fifth of members), or dissolution of the member association.
Governance
Organs of the association Art. 14
Camturk is composed of:
- the General Assembly (AG) — supreme authority;
- the National Executive Committee (CEN) — management body;
- commissions (Electoral, Legal, Financial, Academic, Cultural & Sports);
- executive boards of member city associations.
General Assembly Art. 15–17
The AG meets once per year at the start of each financial year, convened at least one month in advance. It defines major orientations, adopts activity reports, statutes and internal regulations, approves budgets and elects CEN members for a one-year mandate, renewable once.
Quorum: at least half of members in good standing at first convocation; otherwise the session is adjourned up to 30 days. Decisions are taken by simple majority; the President's vote breaks ties. Voting is in person — no proxy or remote voting.
National Executive Committee Art. 18–19
The CEN manages the association and includes the President, Vice-President, Executive Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Censor, Communications Officer, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, two Auditors, two Special Advisors, External Affairs Officer and two Cultural & Sports Officers.
The President represents Camturk in civil life and justice, convenes and chairs CEN and AG meetings, and is the budget authorising officer. In absence, the Vice-President acts.
